Compost Thermometer: Testing 3 Piles

I used my compost thermometer to test the temperature of 3 piles of compost in my backyard, made of leaves, straw, shredded paper, kitchen scraps (fruits/veggies) and human urine. One pile was "turned" one week ago (now 110 degrees). One pile had not been turned in a few months (now 87 degrees). One pile was mature fairly-finished compost sitting around since the prior year (now 70-75 degrees). Results: turning the compost helps it heat up. Old compost is no longer hot.

day 2 of acreage testing Minelab 3500 metal detector mods

Day 2 of testing the new GP series modifications. Yet more targets on the same patch of ground! Of the 6 targets, 2 were gold, 2 were lead shot and 2 were hot patches of clay (it had just rained overnight!) which wouldn't have been heard the previous day.

Rust in the Wind Lemons car testing / Subaru Drifting, Brat with 13b Formula alluvion 2010 Champion!!!

My landlord gave me a go ahead when i asked if we could test in the parking lot, I love my shop. We were supposed to go to Dallas to test at Mineral Wells, but weather said it'd be raining, and its a 6 hour drive, but we had the parking lot at the shop....zero seconds away....so this was a cheap trip to get testing. The lot was pretty small, and our logic dictated that drifting in the lot would be harder on the car (we ARE trying to break it, which is the point of testing...making sure it doesn't break...) to drift it instead of create some sort of little autocross course. Plus drifting a crapcan like this is just plain fun, no matter who you are. We still need to get the brakes sorted out a little bit better, and get the car to run perfectly, doesn't idle at all right now, and we need to rig the secondary butterflies on the intake manifold a little better, and we found out our ghetto radiator hose on the upper won't quite work, drip-drops a little water every 10 seconds or so after it pressurizes. But we're getting there. Oh and we still haven't hooked up our AOOOOGA horn or our lights yet, and I still need to put the radio in it. Tragedy I know. 1980 Subaru Brat with: -1987 Rx7 Engine/Tranny/Brakes -1981 Rx7 solid rear axle -90 Miata front suspension/springs/shocks. -Lots of crappy welds, sheetmetal from Nissans/guardrails/scrap piles/scissor jacks/trunk hinges/Step-up bars off of a truck, and things of the like used for combining all of these vehicles -Tractor Supply ...
